Teaching Experience: Phil has taught with KSM for 16 years.

Performance Experience: Phil performed with many professionals and toured in the US and worldwide. He also appeared on many Grammy award-winning recordings.

Omar Martinez

Instrument Specialty: Drums, Drumset

Education: Georgia State University, Atlanta Institute of Music

Performance Experience: Omar recorded several CDs and performed at a variety of festivals and venues, including Atlanta Jazz Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival.

Rick Shoemaker

Instrument Specialty: Drums, Drumset

Teaching Experience: He has taught drums and percussion for over 20 years, addressing techniques to improve the students balance and sense of freedom. He is available for lessons at both the Marietta and Woodstock locations.

Performance Experience: Rick Shoemaker has played drums and percussion for over 35 years, touring nationally, performing with Chuck Negron and Mystic Orchestra, Leni Stern, renown world music group Janah, Geoff Atchison, Moses Moe of Mother’s Finest, and many others.

Matt Wade

Instrument Specialty: Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar

Education: Armstrong University, Honors, Music Performance, Georgia State University, Master of Arts

Teaching Experience: Matt has been teaching for over 15 years and has experience teaching at the collegiate level.

Performance Experience: Matt performed at Carnegie Hall and toured with Grammy-winning Sugarland. He performs regularly throughout the Southeast.

Liz Melendez

Instrument Specialty: Guitar, Electric Bass, Ukulele, Mandolin

Teaching Experience: Liz offered guitar lessons to an exclusive client base for years. Now she is working with KSM to provide guitar education opportunities to the general public.

Performance Experience: Liz is the female version of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana, and Eric Clapton. Her dynamic live performances pay homage to her influences as a height to her own clearly defined lead and rhythm guitar style.

Marty Manous

Instrument Specialty: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Dobro

Education: Atlanta Institute of Music, Honors

Teaching Experience: Marty has been teaching since 2003. He has also taught clinics and masterclasses at high schools and music stores throughout Georgia.

Performance Experience: Marty has been a professional performer since the age of 16 and made a name as a virtuoso- style guitarist. Fronting his band The Marty Manous Band, he has released an album available on iTunes.

Anthony Waite

Teaching Experience: He has been teaching for over 13 years.

Performance Experience: Anthony performs with various local groups and keeps a touring schedule with his fusion band, Adams Township.

Teaching Experience: Prior to teaching at Ken Stanton Music, Greg taught lessons privately for several years in the metro Atlanta area.

Performance Experience: Greg has performed with various rock and blues acts in and around the Atlanta area for over ten years.

Jason Passmore

Teaching Experience: He is a member of GMEA (Georgia Music Educators Association)

Performance Experience: Primarily a Saxophone player Jason has mastered the flute and clarinet to round out his repertoire with Jazz performances with the Cobb and Rome Symphony.

Lynne Barimah

Instrument Specialty: Piano, Keyboard

Education: University of West Georgia

Teaching Experience: Lynne has been with KSM for 30 years and has also taught privately for 41 years.

Performance Experience: Lynne has been professionally performing since age nine. Currently she plays locally for churches, weddings, parties, etc.

Sabrina Pellerito

Instrument Specialty: Piano, Voice

Education: University of West Georgia

Teaching Experience: Sabrina has been teaching since 2010 at her in-home private studio & on-line for multiple companies.

Performance Experience: She has performed at multiple recitals, received Superior Award from The National Federation of Music Clubs, and is performing at The Buckhead Theater.

Amadi Jones

Instrument Specialty: Piano, Voice

Education: South Carolina State University, Cum Laude, Bachelor of Music

Teaching Experience: Amadi has taught piano and voice for several local institutions. She creates customized lessons for each student that fit their level, growth, and interests.

Performance Experience: Amadi is a singer/songwriter who has written for Atlantic Records recording artists and Grammy- nominated producers.

Kimberly Rosquist

Instrument Specialty: Voice

Education: Kennesaw State University, Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance

Teaching Experience: Kimberly has over ten years’ private teaching experience and two years at the collegiate level.

Performance Experience: Kimberly has performed in multiple operas with the Atlanta Opera along with numerous lead roles with the City Capitol Opera.

Brittany Thayer

Instrument Specialty: Violin, Viola

Education: Kennesaw State University, Violin Performance

Performance Experience: Brittany has performed with the rock band Kansas in their Collegiate Symphony Tour and was a member of the first orchestra to perform Peter Gabriel’s New Blood outside of Gabriel’s own touring orchestra.

Paul Hedman

Education: University of Southern Mississippi, Honors, Bachelor of Music

Teaching Experience: Paul is a certified Suzuki violin teacher with over 25 years’ experience.

Performance Experience: Paul is the founder of the Paul Hedman String Quartet and has been performing for 25 years.

Audrey Williams

Instrument Specialty: Cello

Education: The University of South Carolina, Duke Schools of Music

Performance Experience: Audrey has taught for 15 years and also made appearances with several groups at Carnegie Hall as a feature soloist. She played at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta and she is also a founding member of Atlanta Camarada String Ensemble.

David Metrio

Instrument Specialty: String Bass, Piano

Education: Kennesaw State University, Music Education

Teaching Experience: Before his current position as an assistant at the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, David served as a teacher’s assistant at Crescendo Strings Academy of Music where he specialized in elementary level string instruments including the Violin, Viola, and Cello.

Performance Experience: As a double bassist, David has played with many orchestras such as the Emory Symphony, the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony, The Gwinnett Symphony, and The Kennesaw State University Symphony. David also played with the Georgia Music Educator’s Association’s Allstate orchestra for five years and served as principal bass for two years.

Woodwinds

Ronald Palmer

Teaching Experience: Ronald has been teaching for over 40 years and has been with KSM since 2000.

Performance Experience: Ronald is presently playing with the Westside Winds, East Cobb Horizons Band, the Band of America in Atlanta, and the City of Marietta Orchestra.

Bob Lewis

Instrument Specialty: Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium, Flute

Education: Berry College, Bachelor of Arts in Music Education

Performance Experience: Bob has performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, and many more. He has also recorded with Isaac Hayes, Matchbox 20, and the SOS Band.

Randy Hunter

Instrument Specialty: Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute

Education: Valdosta State, Bachelor of Music

Teaching Experience: Randy has over 20 years of experience teaching and has been at KSM since 1985. He is an Artist Affiliate and Instructor of Jazz Sax at Emory University, and he has published several jazz education series.

Katie Holland

Education: Tennessee Tech University, B.M. in Music Education, Stony Brook University, M.M. and D.M.A.

Teaching Experience: Faculty at Mercer University and the University of North Georgia-Gainesville. Executive Director and a co-founder of the Atlanta Chamber Music Festival.

Performance Experience: Charleston Symphony, Charleston Opera,Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Ballet, Asheville Symphony, Orquesta Sinfonica UANL (Mexico), Macon Symphony, Orchestra Nashville, and Nashville Opera.

Justin Rowan

Instrument Specialty: Trumpet, Low Brass

Education: Kennesaw State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance. He has studied with Thomas Hooten of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He also studied and performed with the world-renowned Boston Brass in the summer of 2013.

Performance Experience: He performs with the Georgia Symphonic Orchestra.
