Fender® American Standard Jazz Bass® - Sunburst
Comes with case!

Fender® hit a giant bass home run in 1960 by introducing its deluxe-model four-string instrument—the Jazz Bass® guitar. With its sleek offset body; thin, fast neck and rich, growling tone, it was a raring, roaring racecar of a bass that quickly established itself as a must-have instrument.

The new American Standard Jazz Bass is an even finer player’s instrument—a modern interpretation of our classic instrument for today’s players. Features include our new high-mass vintage bridge, a thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance, new and improved Fender tuning keys that keep the classic look but are 30 percent lighter, a richer and deeper neck tint for a more elegant appearance, a great-looking glossed maple or rosewood fingerboard and satin back for smooth playability, a new Fender-exclusive SKB molded case and a gorgeous new Blizzard Pearl finish option.

2011 Fender American Standard Jazz Bass, Three Tone Sunburst with Maple Fretboard Anyone who has researched the updated Fender American Standard Jazz Bass is already familiar with the technical details of the instrument. Technology has changed in the 34 years since my 77 Fender Jazz Bass was built. The improvements that Fender has made to the updated American Standard Series have resulted in an instrument that is true to its roots and just better in all of the right ways. What you are in store for when you play the instrument is a bass that is responsive and a joy to play. There are no compromises and no surprises. Fender executed the update with the all of the right changes (bridge, body/neck finish and tuners) while maintaining what has made this bass great for over 50 years. The updated bridge and the string through body create a lasting resonance that is a notable improvement over my 1977 Fender Jazz (which was a great bass). The neck radius and finish makes for fast and effortless play, and the instrument just feels more solid and more balanced. The sum of the parts is simply and perfectly executed, the build quality and attention to detail is flawless. My experience buying the bass from Ken Stanton Music was great. Kenny and Jody took the time to track down the bass I was looking for and made sure I had just the right instrument. The shipment was quick and the bass arrived in perfect condition. I felt like part of the family and look forward to doing more business with Kenny and his fantastic staff. Brian
