The Yamaha intermediate flutes offer the durability of the standard flutes yet produce a greater tone resonance. The intermediate series feature an improved scale for better intonation as well as an undercut and beveled embouchure hole for a clean attack, sensitive response, and accurate intonation. This flute features an offset G. The offset G makes it easier for players with small fingers to reach versus an inline G. Neoprene key bumpers are stronger and more durable than cork. This flute has a sterling silver headjoint and body, and nickel silver keys. The fashionable gold lip plate is offered for players with an allergy to silver. Yamaha 400 Series Flutes feature an improved scale, undercut and beveled embouchure holes, neoprene key bumpers, and sterling silver headjoint and body.
