Whether you are a new or experienced musician, KSM private music lessons are a great way to develop your skills and take your talent to the next level. Our instructors are here to help you reach your musical goals and by working with an accomplished professional you have the opportunity to achieve your true potential. Whether you want to play in a band, become a professional musician, or just play for fun we have instructors waiting for you to begin your musical journey.
 The key to satisfactory results from private lessons is to start as soon as possible!
INSTRUMENTS:
We are proud to be the largest, local independent music retailer to offer lessons in unique instruments including banjo, harmonica, mandolin, and ukulele, as well as our new recording arts program. We offer lessons on standard band and orchestra instruments (saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, tuba, baritone, euphonium, violin, viola, cello, and double bass) as well as favorites like piano, drums, guitar, bass guitar, and voice. If you want to learn it, we have professionals at each store available to teach you! As an added bonus, we also rent standard band and orchestra instruments.
TIME SLOTS & AVAILABILITY:
For most students, beginning to advanced, we recommend signing up for a 30-minute lesson once a week on a specific day and time. All five Ken Stanton Music stores hold lessons Monday through Sunday in private, one-on-one studios. We will always work with you to find a time which is most convenient for your needs, and your lesson schedule may be changed by notifying the instructor.
Lessons may also be booked in 60-minute and 45-minute blocks depending on the individual goals of the student and availability of the instructor. A time slot is guaranteed for the student when lessons are paid monthly, in advance. Instructors are not required to hold a spot for any student who has not pre-paid. The student will be charged for all regularly scheduled lessons in the month and must contact the instructor for availability of make-up lessons.
TUITION RATES:
All Ken Stanton Music Instructors are independent contractors who set their own rates based on education and experience. These rates range from $20.00 to $35.00 per 30-minute lesson or $100 to $175 per month. Please contact the store where you would like to take lessons to find out rates for specific teachers and instruments.
CHOOSING A TEACHER:
Ken Stanton Music boasts the best music teachers in the business: men and women with years of experience playing professionally as well as teaching. Many of our instructors hold advanced degrees in education and performance. It is important that the student develops a good rapport with a confident, competent instructor, so please read through the biographies listed by store. Once you have made your decision you may call or stop by the store of your choice to schedule your lessons.
GROUP LESSONS & MASTER CLASSES:
Ken Stanton Music is proud to offer group lessons designed for those who may not have the time to schedule weekly lessons or for those who desire a focused education on a specific aspect of their instrument.
