Since 2009, Zac has served as Assistant music Director with Nspire Outreach providing lead and harmony vocals as well as playing guitar and saxophone. Recent playing highlights include Grammy winning artist Shelby Lynne, being a founding member and performer with Colone Bruce Hampton and the Quark Alliance for four years, and currently a member of the world music group Insonnia.

Performance Experience: John has played and toured with the band Grave Danger in the late ‘80s and early’90s, he has also done studio work for Earbubbles Productions, and is currently playing with the band Rusted Soul.

Education Experience: Pursuing Bachelor of Music Performance in Violin at Kennesaw State University

Performance Experience: Danielle has performed with the rock band Kansas in their Collegiate Symphony Tour, off-Broadway musical songwriters Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, and the Kennesaw State University Dance Company. She has also performed at various events such as the American String Teachers Association National Conference in 2009, benefit chamber music concerts in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and GMEA All-College Orchestra in Savannah. She also was a part of the first orchestra to perform Peter Gabriel's New Blood outside of Gabriel's own touring orchestra. Danielle currently performs with the Kennesaw State University Symphony Orchestra as well as the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra.

Specialty: Establishing or building on good tone production, proper technique, and note reading with an emphasis on classical music.

Philosophy: I will help my students to further their musical experience through mind and body awareness while playing, along with technique and artistry development. Music is a life-long teacher - I am committed to instill in my students the desire to be the best they can be.

James Poteat - Piano & Trombone

Education: attended Kennesaw State University and has studied/ worked with Dr. Marshall Tuttle, Peter Witte, Colin Williams, Joseph Alessi, and Fyodor Cherniavsky.  

Education Experience: James has eight years teaching experience as a private music instructor, six at Ken Stanton in Woodstock. James has several years experience as a music theory tutor and considers this area of study to be his specialty.  He has written a music theory text as well as a book of piano duets and a book of trombone duets.  James has been commissioned to compose and arrange music for a number of individuals and groups and continues to work on similar projects.

Performance Experience:  James has performed in a wide variety of situations as conductor and on piano, trombone, and euphonium.

Specialty:  James is a patient and dedicated teacher who loves to share his passion for music with his students.  James’ students have ranged in age from 3 to 74, and James is equally comfortable in the worlds of popular and classical music.  James’ students perform regularly in recitals.
